We can be so hard ourselves, have you noticed? Even though failures are learning experiences, the word discipline can cause resistance. Ok, so how can discipline be EASY? Check out these steps and you'll realize you can do it! Let discipline become your best friend : )
1. START SMALL
Master one thing at a time. Start with one step.
Here's an example: I wan't to eat less fried food. I commit to NOT eating french fries.
It's not ALL fried food I'm giving up, it's simply one thing.
2. PAY ATTENTION
You have choices... those that lead you closer to your goal, and those that don't.
Ask yourself, does this action help me reach my goal?
3. REMEMBER YOUR GOAL
Delay short-term gratification, to enjoy the greater reward in the long-term.
Remember how you will FEEL once you've achieved your goal - it's so worth it!
4. HAVE FUN
You're not making a goal to punish yourself and induce suffering. You're making a goal because it's going to FEEL GOOD. Stay connected to your JOY of this process and have fun!
5. REPEAT, REPLAY
Once you've reached the first step, make your next. You'll see how it gets easier and easier.
It becomes so easy, that it turns into a habit!
