Being healthy does not mean that you don’t ever experience stress… wow, I sure wish it did! What it means for me, is that during times of stress, you’re able to quickly make healthy choices that help you manage the stress your mind and body are experiencing.
Here’s a list of my favorite Tips for restoring your body back into balance and harmony after a stress-filled situation.
1. Take Immune Boosters ~
I immediately take natural supplements that help boost my immune system. I’ve found that there is not a perfect supplement that works the same for everyone.
It’s good for you to find works best for your body. For me, my top 2 favorite supplements are Vitamin C ~ by Pure Radiance C by Pure Synergy and OnGaurd ~ by doTerra Essential Oil.
2. Salt Scrub Hands & Feet ~
Salt has natural relaxing and soothing properties. Use Himalayan Pink salt, it has the most benefits. It is the purest salt on earth and the most beneficial salt available, containing all of the 84 elements found in your body.
I mix together Coconut Oil and Pink Himalayan salt in a small glass jar, then use it as a scrub. Scrubbing your hands and feet in a along hot shower or bath after a stressful time helps to detox your body and sooth your nervous system.
3. Lavender ~
Lavender is known for its calming and relaxing properties. Research has shown that Cortisol, a stress hormone is reduced within 5 minutes after smelling lavender oil. My favorite uses are putting a drop on my heart chakra and taking a bath with 5-10 drops.
4. Bach Rescue Remedy ~
This is a natural flower essence stress relief blend. I always have a bottle of this little gem on hand. A couple of dropper fulls under the tongue due the trick.
Created by Dr. Bach to deal with emergencies and crises, many people carry Rescue Remedy in their purse, stash it at the office, in the car or in the diaper bag. You never know when it will come in handy.
5. Chocolate ~
Of course, one of my all time favorites! Yes, chocolate is my immediate soother to any stress. Make sure you eat DARK chocolate, at least 70% and sugar-free is best, especially during times of stress. There are a handfull of yummy chocolates made with Stevia at Health Food stores now… yay!
Using these tips to help sooth your soul after a stressful experience can get you feeling better quickly. Remember all situations are only temporary. Life is full of unexpected surprises. The more we remember how to take care of ourselves, the better we feel! Yay!
